Stay22 Review 2025: How a 3-Minute Switch Boosted My Blog Income by 2000%

If you’re interested in making an income from your blog, or even social media channels, then you’ve probably heard of Stay22, and you might be wondering if Stay22 is worth it as a travel blogger?

I’ve been blogging since 2020; however, I’ll use that term lightly, as it was more like writing a diary entry every few months about where I’d been and hoping that it would rank.

I wasn’t earning anything (not surprisingly), and I wasn’t really gaining any traffic. Then, I started to learn SEO and implement it. Within about 6 months, my traffic increased to 30k a month, but I still wasn’t earning anything from it.

This post contains affiliate links. If you make a purchase using one of these links, then we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. We really appreciate your support, as this is how we keep our content free. This post was written in collaboration with Stay22; however, as always, all opinions are my own.

I would see all of these reports of people making 10k per month just from their blog, and I couldn’t understand why I was earning basically nothing.

Until I discovered Stay22 and, more importantly, their NOVA product.

Suddenly, I was earning a passive monthly income from all my hard work by signing up to become a Stay22 partner, and I discovered that Stay22 is one of the best travel affiliate programs for bloggers in 2025.

In this Stay22 review, we’ll take a look at the pros and cons of including Stay22 in your affiliate marketing strategy and some tips on how to use it to make the most from your blog posts.

If you’re interested in signing up, you can do so with my link here, which will get you $100 EXTRA when you reach 100 confirmed bookings.

Stay22 Review for Travel Bloggers in 2025

What is Stay22?

Stay22 Stay22 is a smart monetisation platform built for bloggers and other media looking to make money by recommending accommodation options and experiences to their audience.

For content creators and bloggers, Stay22 goes beyond the traditional affiliate link. By embedding a map in a blog post, destination guide, or event page, readers can easily compare prices and book directly, without needing to leave the page to search elsewhere.

Currently, Stay22 includes these booking sites:

Agoda via Vio
Booking.com
Expedia
GetYourGuide
Hotels.com
Kayak
TripAdvisor
Vrbo

…and more to come

You don’t need to be a direct affiliate with any of these companies to use Stay22  – your partnership starts when you create your account.

Why Use Stay22 in 2025?

There are many benefits to using Stay22, but the main ones I find are having all my affiliates in one place and their NOVA product.

Previously, I would sign up to multiple affiliate platforms, forget which ones I had signed up to and never really earn anything from them, or certainly not enough to meet their threshold (you usually have to earn a certain amount before you can cash out). It would be nearly impossible to remember all of the various programmes that I signed up for, and where they were housed.

The second biggest benefit that I find is one of their main products – NOVA.

The Stay22 NOVA is an AI-powered solution designed to detect when a reader is showing strong purchase intent for a hotel or car rental. Instead of interrupting the browsing experience, NOVA quietly opens a new tab in the background, displaying personalised booking options from trusted platforms. This smart approach boosts conversions without frustrating your audience.

To keep it non-intrusive, NOVA only triggers once every 40 days per user on average, making it a subtle yet powerful way for travel bloggers and publishers to monetise their content through affiliate commissions.

The revenue is so great from Nova. It’s a no-brainer to include it on your site to improve your income; most of my bookings are through this feature.

My Experience Using Stay22

Some data from my experience using Stay22:

For the last 3 months, I’ve generated $797.86 USD in affiliate sales.

The average commission I receive per booking is $11.08.

My current average daily income from Stay22 is $7.65

My highest-earning blog post is ‘Where Should I Stay In The High Tatras Mountains, Slovakia?’
On average, I receive 0.8 bookings per day.

70 out of my 72 bookings came from Booking.com, making it my most profitable hotel partner
Note that you only get paid after the booking is fulfilled. If people book in January, but travel in May, you only get paid 7 days after the checkout date, as people are still able to cancel their trip, which I’ve noticed happens fairly frequently.

So you can see that I’m not making this up. Here’s a little look inside my dashboard on Stay22. This was for August 2025, when my traffic was about 12k sessions per month (if you’re reading this, thinking, I thought she said her traffic was 30k sessions – I was hit by one of the many Google updates and never quite recovered). But, thanks to Stay22 ,my income was a LOT higher than it was when I had 30k sessions.

If you’re interested in signing up, you can do so with my link here, which will get you $100 EXTRA when you reach 100 confirmed bookings (this took me around 6 months, but I had no idea what I was doing to begin with and just sprinkled a couple of Stay22 links throughout with no real strategy. I also didn’t use any of their AI features, which have been a game-changer for me.

Stay22 Features & Tools

What makes Stay22 such a useful platform is the variety of tools it offers to help creators integrate bookings directly into their content. The most popular is the map widget, a customisable, interactive map that displays hotels near a chosen location. It fits naturally into destination guides or itineraries, making it easy for readers to compare accommodation options and book directly.

Another clever solution is Let Me Allez, which automatically detects place names and adds booking links to them so that you don’t have to go in and manually create your links. This is particularly handy if you already have a library of posts, as it means you can start monetising older content without spending hours adding links manually.

How to Make Money with Stay22: Tips & Tricks

If you’re just getting started with Stay22, here are a few simple ways to make the most of its features and increase your chances of earning affiliate income:

  • Embed maps in destination guides – Add a Stay22 map at the end of an itinerary or travel guide. Readers already inspired by your content will appreciate the ability to book nearby accommodations right away.
  • Use Spark on older posts – If you’ve built up a library of blog posts, activate Let Me Allez to automatically turn place names into booking links. It’s one of the quickest ways to start monetising existing content.
  • Keep placement natural – Don’t overload every post with maps or links. A well-placed widget where readers are already looking for practical info will perform better than forcing it everywhere.
  • Check your analytics – The affiliate dashboard shows you what’s working. Use it to track which posts convert best and focus on creating more content around those destinations or post styles. My ‘Where to stay in *destination*’ posts convert the best for me as well as my itinerary posts, so naturally, I’m planning on writing more of these to increase my income.
  • Think beyond the blog – You can also share Stay22 links on social media, in newsletters, or even in PDFs like packing lists and travel guides. The more touchpoints, the better.

Stay22 vs Other Affiliate Tools (Stay22 VS Travelpayouts)

When it comes to travel affiliate marketing, the other big name you’ll come across is Travelpayouts. Both platforms give bloggers and creators the chance to earn commission on bookings, but they work in slightly different ways.

Stay22 is centred around user intent. Its interactive map widget and Let Me Allez script make it easy to integrate accommodation links quickly and seamlessly into your content. Readers don’t just see one hotel; they can compare a full range of options near the destination or event you’re writing about. This often leads to higher engagement and stronger conversion rates, since your audience doesn’t have to click away to start searching.

Travelpayouts, on the other hand, acts more like a traditional affiliate network. It connects you with dozens of travel brands, from airlines and car rental companies to hotel booking sites, so you can choose which programmes to promote. Travelpayouts also has an AI link swap feature,
I actually hardly make anything through Travelpayouts (I’m not entirely sure why my earnings are so low from it). But what I do know is that the Let Me Allez script, which includes NOVA and Spark, earns me the majority of my income from Stay22. A feature that no other affiliate programme offers.

I have made most of my sales through Stay22’s NOVA, which puts them ahead of everyone else in the accommodation niche. I use Stay22 for accommodation and Travelpayouts for transportation, car rentals and other travel services – which I also recommend you do, for maximum return.
