Our Antler Luggage Review Of The Clifton Set

As two people who have spent their late teens and twenties backpacking around unknown countries with well-worn, patch-laden, backpacks slung on their backs we have now reached that time in our lives where a suitcase and hotel seem far more appealing. Call us old, but the ease of a wheel-along suitcase and a quiet night in a hotel is too much to ignore nowadays. And so, the search for a suitcase began…

As you can imagine choosing the right set of luggage was super important to us. It was the first step into proper ‘adult travel’ and we wanted ones that would travel with us far and wide to our next destinations in this next part of our travel story.

Suddenly after talking about buying new luggage and a few quick searches we started to see Antler everywhere (well done to their marketing department) and loved how the items looked – clean and sleek in a beautiful array of different colours that suited our styles down to the ground.

After reaching out to the brand we were lucky enough to be gifted a beautiful set of Antler Clifton luggage and excitedly took it on its first trip out to the home of pizza and pasta; Italy! So, if you’re wondering if Antler Clifton suitcases are for you, here is our Antler luggage review of the Clifton cabin, the Overnight bags, Vanity Case and Mini to help you decide.

Antler Clifton Luggage Review – The Suitcases

Each of the suitcases in the Antler Clifton luggage set has the following features:

Expandable zip
Twist-grip handle
4 double 360-degree rotating wheels
TSA combination lock
Polycarbonate material

We opted for the cabin luggage as we were flying with Ryanair and wanted suitcases we could take on board with us. Reanna opted to get her set in taupe and Chris opted for the navy, although we were both torn between quite a few colour options!

One of the things we loved about the Clifton Cabin suitcase is the internal pockets. One side is zipped closed with two pockets, whilst the other side has a strap and one small pocket on the side. These extra pockets make it easy to organise your things and find them easily during your trip. Plus, the strap and zipped side keep all of your belongings nicely in place as they are pulled along cobbled streets.

The suitcases are all super lightweight whilst incredibly strong – always a plus, when travelling internationally or even locally in our experience. They also all come with a 10-year guarantee so the quality is guaranteed, making the slightly higher price tag all the more worth it.

Antler Luggage Review – Overnight Bags

Each of the bags in the Antler Chelsea overnight bag has the following features:

Durable nylon
Water-resistant
Fits a laptop up to 13”
Dimensions 41.5 x 26 x 18cm

The overnight bag is a compact bag with an over-the-shoulder strap or handles to carry it with, it’s not super large but is an excellent addition to our Antler Clifton Cabin Bags for a week away or would be the perfect size for, as it is so rightfully named, overnight. Our favourite addition to the bag was the back sleeve to slot over the suitcase handle, making it even easier to transport.

Antler Luggage Review – Clifton Vanity and Clifton Mini

We were lucky enough to be gifted the finishing touches to our Antler Clifton Luggage set; the Clifton Vanity and the Clifton Mini. The Vanity, in Antler’s words ‘blurred the boundaries between suitcase and vanity case.’ It’s large enough to store all of your make-up, bath products and road-trip essentials. It also comes with a handy strap to fix itself over your suitcase making it easy to transport without taking up any valuable space in your suitcase.

The Clifton Mini is the perfect little case to pop your mini wash products and some toothpaste in. It’s not huge so don’t expect to be able to fit everything in however, if you have a few small products then the mini is ideal.

Reanna decided to take the vanity to fit all of her make-up and wash products in and Chris took the Vanity and just about squeezed all of his bits inside.

The Clifton Vanity has the following features:

Secure, two-way zip opening
Branded zips
Internal divider and pockets
Powder-coated black hardware
Adjustable, detachable shoulder strap
The back sleeve fits the suitcase handle
Feet protect the base
Top handle for easy grip

The Clifton Mini  has the following features:

Secure, two-way zip opening
Branded zips
Internal zip and mesh pockets
Powder-coated black hardware

Is The Antler Clifton Luggage Worth It?

Overall, we definitely recommend the Antler Clifton luggage. We love its high-quality, beautiful design, with little handy details we never would have known we needed until now. It is definitely on the higher end of the price scale so it’s more of an investment in our eyes than just buying a new case for a short trip away. However, if you’re looking for a beautiful and functional new luggage set, then we would highly recommend Antler.
